In this newsletter, I share my six decades of life experiences with others. I have lived through trauma, mental health struggles, and cancer and honestly share my life lessons through my writing.
Who am I?
I am a divorced silver-haired woman in my early 60s. I’m the mother of three adult children and a grandmother to four. I’m a Christian and a special education teacher. I’m the mother of an adult son with Down Syndrome. I’m a ten-year breast cancer survivor and a trauma survivor.
I am here to write and share the life lessons I have collected over these six decades as I have survived the road of childhood trauma and domestic violence. As a result, I live with CPTSD, Anxiety, OCD, Depression, and Atypical Anorexia.
It sounds dreadful, but it isn’t. It is just my life. I have developed a strong Faith as well as numerous coping skills, all of which have been instrumental in my recovery.
Believe it or not, I have a sense of humor, which I try to include when appropriate. Laughing makes life easier and reduces stress.
I may not have had a voice when going through the various traumas in my life, but I have a voice now and am here to use it, so you know if I can make it, you can, too.
